Fees may vary according to the time spent for the consultation. When making the booking please let us know if a longer consultation is required, where possible.

Longer consultations will be required for the following procedures:

  • Mental Health Care Plans
  • Implanon Checks and Insertions
  • Multifaceted Health Conditions
  • 3 or more issues that you wish to discuss with your doctor

If a nurse is required as part of your consultation, please let us know. You will require a nurse for the following procedures:

  • Child immunisations
  • Health Care Plans

Weekday fees

Standard Consultation Fee $80 (rebate $38.75)
Long Consultation Fee $125 (rebate $75.05)
Oversea Visitors Consultation Fee $110

Children under 16 years will be Bulk Billed.

Aged Pensioners, Gold Card Repatriation (DVA) and Disability Pensioners card holders: Patients will be bulk billed. You must present your card at every visit to be bulk billed.

All Other Concession Card Holders (apart from Aged, Disability Pensioners and DVA) are Privately Billed at a reduced rate.


Castlegate Family Practice is a mixed billing practice.

We only bulk bill existing patients whom are; children under 16 years of age, Aged Pensioners, Gold Card Repatriation (DVA) and Disability Pensioners. Please bring your card to every visit to be bulk billed.

All other concession card holders (apart from Aged, Disability Pensioners and DVA) are privately billed at a reduced rate.

Overseas visitors & patients without a valid Medicare card will be privately billed.

We request that all visitors to the practice bring their Medicare & any concession cards to every appointment.

For workers compensation & motor vehicle insurance claims, fees will be privately billed until the claim has been accepted and a claim number provided.

Appointments can be settled with our receptionist using either cash, EFTPOS or credit cards. Cheques are not accepted.

* Please be aware that credit card payments using Mastercard/Visa/American Express will incur a surcharge and will be charged at the point of payment.

As your local community family practice we encourage our patients to share with us any suggestions that you may have for the practice and it’s growth in the community. We want to be able to give you the best service that we can.

Complaints are also welcome and will be handled with care and confidence.
