STANDARD CONSULTATION: $105.00 (FOR ONE ISSUE ONLY)
Medicare Rebate: $42.85
LONGER CONSULTATION: $175.00 (FOR MORE THAN ONE ISSUE)
Medicare Rebate: $82.90
A Medicare rebate is available on the day with a valid savings card. Additionally, certain iPhones allow you to claim the rebate directly through your phone if your savings card is added.
BULK BILLING IS AVAILABLE for children under 14, pensioners and veteran’s affairs patients, Weekdays ONLY.
SATURDAY APPOINTMENTS
By Appointment Only – No walk-ins available.
Private Billing Only – No bulk billing on Saturdays.
Fees for Saturday Appointments: $115.00 for a standard consultation. $150.00 for a longer consultation. Medicare Rebates available on the day

consultation fees
Effective Monday, 20th January 2025, our prices have been updated. Please take a moment to review the following changes.
Fees may vary according to the time spent for the consultation. When making the booking please let us know if a longer consultation is required, where possible.
Longer consultations will be required for the following procedures:
- Mental Health Care Plans
- Implanon Checks and Insertions
- Multifaceted Health Conditions
- 3 or more issues that you wish to discuss with your doctor
If a nurse is required as part of your consultation, please let us know. You will require a nurse for the following procedures:
- Child immunisations
- Health Care Plans

WEEKDAY FEES
As a mixed billing practice, we only offer bulk billing to existing Children Under 14, Aged Pensioners, Gold Card Repatriation (DVA) and Disability Pension card holders and all other Consession card holders. Otherwise, our fees are $98.00 ($42.85 rebate) for a standard consultation and $160.00 ($82.90 rebate) for a long consultation.
CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS
At Castlegate Family Practice and Women’s Health Clinic, you will receive an SMS to confirm your appointment. Due to the high demand of bookings please give us 24 hours’ notice if you cannot attend your appointment. This gives a chance for the appointment to be offered to another patient.
If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not attend your scheduled appointment, a $90 cancellation fee will apply.
Mask Fee is $1.00 each for practice to provide patients with a mask.
DO NOT ATTEND APPOINTMENTS
If you do not show up for your appointment there will be a DNA Fee of $90.00.

Overseas visitors & patients without a valid Medicare card will be privately billed.
We request that all visitors to the practice bring their Medicare & any concession cards to every appointment.
For workers compensation & motor vehicle insurance claims, fees will be privately billed until the claim has been accepted and a claim number provided.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
Appointments can be settled with our receptionist using either cash, EFTPOS or credit cards. Cheques are not accepted.
* Please be aware that credit card payments using Mastercard/Visa/American Express will incur a surcharge and will be charged at the point of payment.
